IEC Announces SPARK: Evolve. Empower. Energize in Dallas, Texas 

Dallas, TX, June 26, 2023 – The Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) will host its annual event, SPARK: Evolve. Empower. Energize, in Dallas, Texas this year. The conference will be held at the Dallas Convention Center October 16 – 18, 2023. The premier event of the year for the electrical and systems contracting industry, the conference will host over 4,000 attendees and exhibitors.  

“I am excited that IEC’s annual SPARK event will be taking place in the great state of Texas,” says IEC Executive Director, Thayer Long. “This year’s location is accessible for thousands of industry members to get together. Our event schedule provides plenty of time to get to know electrical industry professionals from around the country. Our industry is massive, and hugely important to the future competitiveness of our economy. SPARK is an event specifically constructed for our industry to come together to learn about the convergence occurring in the electrical industry, and to showcase the cutting-edge products and technology driving innovation.” 

  

This year, the program will be headlined by two keynote speakers. Opening keynote speaker, Jamie Clark, will bring a background combination of internationally acclaimed adventurer, explorer, and business coach. Closing the annual conference, Greg Schwem will share his hilarious, relatable observations on technology and the business environment, including the gig economy, home schooling, strange job titles and the craziness brought about by the pandemic.  

SPARK: Evolve. Empower. Energize is designed to inspire and help drive attendee’s business’ forward. The event is anchored by multiple educational programs that will highlight the latest in business, industry, and management trends. With topics including Workforce Development, Electrification, Leadership, Emerging Technologies, National Electrical Codes, and more.  

Complementing the learning experiences, in the exhibition hall, dozens of leading providers and suppliers will showcase the latest products, services, and technological innovations. This year’s event will include an Industry Product Showcase that will promote new products conveniently located on the show floor for attendees to view. Other events on the show floor include Future-Ready Forums, Contractor Olympics, Apprentice of the Year Competition, Future Electrician Showcase, and more.  

This year’s award celebration is revamped to wrap up the three-day excursion. The new entertainment style layout will bring hundreds of attendees together to recognize the hard work of those in the electrical and systems contracting industry.  

SPARK: Evolve. Empower. Energize provides exceptional opportunities to meet peers, potential partners, and friends new and old through three days of fun and unique networking opportunities.
