Voice Your Support for the Proposed Joint Employer Rule
On Friday, September 14, 2018, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) released a proposed rule that would clarify the NLRB’s test for determining whether separate businesses qualify as joint employers. The rule proposes that the NLRB will only find that a business jointly employs another’s workers if it “possesses and exercises substantial, direct and immediate control” over them. IEC is urging its members to send comments to the NLRB in support of the proposed rule. Members can do this by clicking here. The comment period closes on November 13, 2018.
