Task Force on Apprenticeship Expansion Holds Final Meeting

The Task Force on Apprenticeship Expansion held its final meeting, during which it voted to approve its final recommendations to the President. The task force’s four subcommittees provided recommendations on Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship programs, which the administration is to consider as part of a subsequent rule-making.

Of note, the final report recommends that participants in the Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship programs “not be considered as apprentices for the purpose of meeting the Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements.” A copy of the final report can be found by clicking here.
