Senate Confirms Final NLRB Appointee

On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, the Senate confirmed John Ring to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB/the Board), restoring Republican control of the five-member Board following the departure of Phil Miscimarra in December. Prior to his confirmation, Ring was a management-side attorney for Morgan Lewis. His arrival enables to the Board to move forward addressing matters that were slanted towards unions during the Obama administration, such as ‘Ambush’ elections and the expanded joint employer standard.
