Marilyn Akers Stansbury is the CEO of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Independent Electrical Contractors - IECRM. Marilyn is an experienced executive leader and change advocate in the startup and implementation of organizations and initiatives in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Throughout her career in public affairs and policy, corporate communication, business operations, program and project management, Marilyn has successfully transformed organizations and complex initiatives from visionary concept to sustained implementation. Her experience includes systems change in public education and corporate operations through strategic policy, workforce development, digital and emerging media, technology adoption and integration, communication and community engagement.  

Her goal at IECRM is to bring much-needed new talent to the industry and enhance her member companies’ workforce development and economic success further contributing to the growth and stability of Colorado’s economy. 

Outside of work, Marilyn enjoys the mountains, the beach, baseball, college football, golf and learning about the people and places that round out the world.

Only this time, things didn’t go according to plan – and Brandon was caught in the blast from a massive arc flash. Brandon suffered severe burns across his arms, hands, and face. He realized after the fact that he was fortunate to have escaped with his life. Following a long and arduous recovery, Brandon decided to devote himself to educating his fellow electricians about the risks of assuming “it will never happen to me.” Brandon is committed to making sure other electricians take the steps necessary to ensure that they don’t suffer the same consequences – or worse – than he did for opting not to put safety first.

Bruce Seilhammer has been in the electrical industry for 35 years. He started his career in the Air Force in 1982 and spent his four years serving as an electrical apprentice in Utah. He now lives in Pennsylvania and is working for SECCO, Inc, where he carries his Master Electricians License. Bruce started there 25 years ago as a Foreman, and then moved into a Field Superintendent position. Bruce has a strong belief in sharing knowledge – he teaches classes on Leadership, Train the Trainer, and the Master Electricians prep classes. He is currently serving on the Executive Committee as our IEC National Past President.
