Congratulations IEC Rocky Mountain Class of 2021!
On June 5th IECRM honored the men and women who have completed their four-year electrical contracting apprenticeship training program. This year's graduation will be the 40-year-old chapter's largest yet. IEC National President, Janet Martin, delivered the keynote commencement address. Martin owns Colorado-based Bret’s Electric and is one of the first women in the country to head a male-dominated construction industry trade association.
Congratulations Florida West Coast IEC Class of 2021!
On Friday, May 21, the Florida West Coast Chapter of IEC honored the men and women who have completed IEC’s required four-year apprenticeship training program. The ceremony will be held at the Tampa Convention Center at 5p.m. RaeShawn Crosson, IEC’s Interim CEO, delivered the keynote commencement address.
Natasha Sherwood, president of the Florida Apprenticeship Association, says, “Apprenticeship programs in Florida are now becoming not just an alternative to college but an equal option. Floridians are seeing the opportunity to earn while they learn without incurring crippling debt all while creating an essential career that will serve them for years to come.” She continues, “We have all become aware of what is truly essential and what is not. We have apprentices coming to our programs from all walks of life – some with college degrees, some from established careers, some from military and some straight out of high school turning down college for a career in industries that promise not only steady work but fulfilling work that is well respected, well compensated and much needed.”

On Thursday, May 20, Central Pennsylvania IEC honored the 50 men and women who have completed its required four-year apprenticeship training program. The ceremony was held at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex/Olympic Hall at 5 p.m. Janet Martin, 2021 IEC National President, delivered the keynote commencement address
Congratulations Montana IEC Class of 2021!
On May 14, the IEC Montana Chapter honored the electrical apprentices who have completed their required four-year apprenticeship training program at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bozeman. Janet Martin, IEC National 2021 president, is one of the first women in the U.S. to head a male-dominated construction industry trade association, and served as the keynote commencement speaker at the ceremony.
Montana IEC, established in 2001, is Montana’s only IEC chapter and trains 72 percent of the state’s electrical apprentices through in-class apprenticeship training in Bozeman, Billings, Great Falls, and Missoula, as well as online apprenticeship training. Congratulations IEC New England Class of 2021!
On May 11 and 12, the IEC New England Chapter honored the men and women who have completed the IEC four-year apprenticeship training program. The ceremony was held at the AcquaTurf Club in Plantsville, Connecticut, and Paul Dolenc, IEC’s vice president of education and training delivered the keynote commencement address on May 11.
