As Vice President of Membership and Chapter Development, Walt Czyrnik has had nearly two decades of executive nonprofit experience leading a successful IEC Chapter in Memphis prior to taking on his new role. There he had the privilege to manage three different apprenticeship programs simultaneously, all of which were registered with the U.S. Department of Labor. Prior to IEC, Walt served over 20 consecutive years in the United States Marine Corps. For much of his Marine career, he managed the maintenance and avionics departments of various CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopter squadrons throughout the world. Additionally, he was responsible for the academic electronics training for both the Marine Corps and the Navy. He completed his Marine Career as a Company First Sergeant in the Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division.

One thing you don’t know about Walt

Walt met his wife of over 35 years, Vicki, when she was a country western dance instructor trying to teach him how to do a two-step.
