Tax Reform Bill Goes to Conference

Posted in: Capital Watch

This week, both the House and Senate named their respective conference committee members that will be tasked with hashing out the differences in each chamber’s tax reform bill. Of specific concern to IEC is how the final bill treats businesses organized as pass-throughs. Currently, both bills treat these businesses differently, and depending on various proposed policy changes, could lead to some IEC members receiving a tax increase, rather than a cut, when compared with current law.

There’s still time to write your members of Congress and tell them to treat pass-throughs fairly.
