Senate Committee Holds Hearing on NLRB General Counsel Nominee
Posted in: Capital Watch
The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee recently held a hearing to review the Trump administration’s replacement for general counsel for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Once approved by the Senate, Peter Robb will take over for the Obama administration’s general counsel in early November.
IEC sent a letter to the committee in support of Mr. Robb’s nomination and urged swift approval of a Board member to replace Phil Miscimarra, who recently announced he will not accept reappointment and will be leaving in December. If left vacant, the Board will be deadlocked at two Republicans and two Democrats.
