Recent Graduate Earns Distinguished IEC Journeyman Credential

Jamie Sweet of Fox Electric in Dallas, Texas, earned the impressive credential of IEC Journeymen Electrician. By obtaining an IEC Journeyman Credential, he demonstrated superior abilities and knowledge of electrical theory and practices by passing rigorous practical and written tests.

“Jamie Sweet’s talent was on display during the Journeyman Exam and he proved he is in the upper echelon of electricians,” stated Paul Dolenc, IEC National Vice President of Training & Education. “He validated his commitment to excellence in his craft.”

The IEC National Journeyman Credential Exam covers the key concepts and practical skills across the Four-Year IEC Electrical Apprenticeship program. These two exams occur over a two (2) day period. All candidates must have graduated from an IEC training program in 2012 or later, or are currently in the second semester of their fourth-year to apply.

Sweet recently graduated from the IEC Four-Year Apprenticeship Program at IEC Dallas. In addition to earning the Journeyman Credential, Sweet will represent IEC Dallas at the 2015 IEC Apprentice of the Year Competition.

The examination was held at the IEC Dallas chapter office. To showcase his accomplishment and expertise Sweet will receive an 11x14” IEC Journeyman Certificate and wallet card.
