What is the PEF?
The IEC Political Education Fund (PEF) is a key component of our advocacy efforts promoting the interests of independent electrical contractors in Washington and across the nation. It's a unique funding vehicle strengthening the voice of our industry in Washington and across the nation. If we are to be taken seriously in the halls of Congress, the Executive branch, and the fifty state capitals, we must have the requisite resources and professional talent to play the game at the next level. Throughout the year, PEF is guided by a seven member committee representing contractor interests from across the country.
What does the PEF Support?
The PEF adds new dimensions to your voice in Washington by enhancing the performance of our government affairs efforts. Specifically, the PEF provides issue education materials for IEC members and the public, memberships in Washington business groups and coalitions and covers some PRIDE PAC administrative costs.
How Can You Help?
IEC must continue to build on the successes of past victories to lay a solid foundation for the future. There is only one problem with this goal - IEC simply doesn't have the financial or organizational resources to do everything we need to do in the public policy arena. We have multiple priorities and growing funding needs. Until the IEC Government Affairs program funding requirements can be met, we need your financial help. Please consider showing your support and remember, the PEF can accept both personal and corporate contributions from IEC members.
